T (shows a picture of a telephone and asks ) :- What’s this ?
Ss : It’s a telephone.
T:- Do you have a talephone at home ?
S1 :Yes, I have.
T: That’s fine. Please tell me what your telephone number is.
S1 : 9 070 211.
(T guides Ss how to read a telephone number.
T explains some new words
Ss take notes and repeat
Call on some Ss to read the words

Students listen and write in their note book .




( Pair work - Ss look at the telephone directory ( A1) in their textbooks and read the telephone numbers : one student the name of the telephone owner, and the other says his / her telephone number.
(T asks Ss to listen to the tape ( A2)and write down the telephone numbers they hear. Ss can listen three times for each telephone number.
+ 1st time : Ss listen to the tape.
+2nd time : Ss listen and take notes.
+3rd time : Ss listen to check their answers after comparing their answers with their partner’s.
(T gives the correct answers :

(T asks Ss to listen to the tape ( A3) once and then asks themto tell Hoa’s telephone number and what Lan asks Hoa.
(Ss listen and repeat after the tape
(Pair work – Ss play the roles of Hoa and Lan
(Some Ss play the roles of Hoa and Lan in front of the class.
(Pair work – Ss do the same with their real names and telephone numbers.
(Group work – Ss ask one another about their real telephone numbers, and complete the list
